review 1: I really liked this book. I just wish there was more of it I was not ready for it to end. Claudia was such a strong presence in this book, and she certainly didn't need Luis to complete her, so to speak. They were fated mates and they just weren't quite sure they wanted it, either of them. I would have loved them in a full length novel. Can you imagine the sparks flying? This is the first book I have read of Thea Harrison's, and I really have to look into more from her. Highly recommend.
review 2: Claudia is funny and sassy and completely capable of breaking every bone in your body..... she has just left the army and is travelling across the desert part of her 'travelling the country' vacation. She picks up an injured dog .. a massive injured dog and is d
... moreirected to the local vet by a policeman who pulled her over for speeding... Luis is so injured he cannot change into his human state .. until Jackson gives him two vials of magic potion .. the kind that heals all ills and make you feel like you can well again .. we could all use a couple of those !!! Following these little snippets of the Elder world adds to the already complex structure .... quite exciting really... immediate gratification .. less

Ends rather abruptly... The romance was kinda missing at the end. Otherwise I liked it.
