review 1: This series is well on the way to being one of my favourites. I really loved Seremela, to me she came across as a caring character who was willing to do anything to make sure the ones she loved were ok.Duncan was also very likeable to me, i liked that he quietly took notice of Seremela and was willing to offer her help when needed.I loved the whole relationship between the two, i loved how this book threw me in to the whole unusual world and i was gripped by the end. I also liked how those pesky tarot cards turned up again.
review 2: 3.75stars reallyThis quick novella peeks back to Duncan, Carling's lawyer extraordinaire as he acts upon his feelings for shy medical examiner Medusa Seremela as she tries to resolve a family issue with far reaching implications. T... morehe mysterious tarot deck makes an appearance here linking this story to the previous short. I thought the romance went rather smooth and quickly - helped greatly by both parties having strong feelings for each other. Also, I would have appreciated a little longer story, as is this is a one sitting tale. Glimpses of other elder races and a peek at the lead of the next installment complete the read. less
