review 1: This is yet another in a series of the Hugo-nominee 'freebies' made available by Tor.com that I downloaded. In this offering we join the village of Doi Saket as they prepare for the Thai festival of Loi Krathong. While they are all busy preparing their krathong and their wishes to launch on the river where the goddess died, one young village boy is perplexed. Having been to Chiang Mai, and Doi Suthep, this was a bit of an odd one to read.

2.5 stars. It was cute, but not particularly memorable.
