review 1: I really enjoyed this book, until about 60%. The whole kidnapping is over and it starts on the aftermath. The ending was amazing, I just felt that everything between 60% and the end was too much. I liked the trial, but could have done without chapter after chapter of nightmares, conversations with the Rabbi and what not. I felt that it dragged down the suspense and thrill of the rest of the book. It took me awhile to trudge through it, but reading the ending made it worth it for me. In no way am I saying this is a bad book. I did really enjoy it, I just felt some of it could have been done without, and it would have earned a 5 star from me. I really liked Tsara, and found myself loving Mike. It was extremely well written in the beginning. Again, try losing some of the part... mores that drag it down. The characters are well developed. There's no way for you to not enjoy them.
review 2: With sharp, clear prose and a refreshing lack of sentimentality, Jacobs tells her tale with compassion, humor, compelling characterization, and intense drama. Eschewing literary pyrotechnics, Jacobs delivers a taut, suspenseful thriller, layered with detail and rich in theme. Wrong Place, Wrong Time is full of surprises and twists, yet always puts the human drama front and center. In Tsara Adelman, Jacobs has created an unforgettable heroine for our time. During her harrowing ordeal, Tsara is forced to dig deep within herself to survive, and emerges both stronger and wiser—but with strength and wisdom that are hard-earned, and leave emotional scars. In the end, Wrong Place, Wrong Time turns out to be more than a ripping yarn—although it is that, indisputably—but also a thoughtful, profound mediation on the eternal themes of vengeance, honor, and, above all, redemption. less

This is a great book! Jacobs' works are sometimes hard to find, but well worth the effort.
