review 1: I really wanted to like this book, and a few of the stories were actually pretty good, but it is weighed down by multiple stories that are exceedingly abstract, surreal, and pretty much incomprehensible (to me, at least). And after reading so many of these senseless bits of literary modern art, they are no longer whimsical or entertaining, they are starting to get annoying. At about 80% finished, I'm finally throwing in the towel on this one.

Pretty much everything you've read about this book is true. It's amazing what Tim can pull off.
