review 1: This will appeal to fans of the Spy vs Spook series who want to see more romance between Mark and Quinn.While I missed the spice that the intrigue from the previous series had, I definitely enjoyed this continuation their love story. It was definitely time to see more of Mark and Quinn's relationship at this stage. I loved how all the series were linked to each other (Spy vs Spook, The Light in Your Eye and Mann of My Dreams). While each series can be read on its own, there is an added appreciation that the reader will get if they read the books in publishing sequence.This story really satisfied my craving to see more of the spy versus spook couple. I got to see a more tender side to their relationship. I also enjoyed seeing Mark's work life in more detail and how he dealt... more with his changing role in his organisation. Another solid, entertaining read from Tinnean.
review 2: I am so glad the author was able to continue this series. I'm not done reading about Mark and Quinn, yet. This was another good entry into the series. Mark and Quinn have said forever but nothing more. Both, are still reticent to say the words. This entry in the series gives us quite a bit of insight into Mark. We see his loyalty to The Boss and his friends. We learn that he will do anything for those he cares about. We also get to see what Quinn will do for Mark. The author can't write fast enough for me. I ready for the next one. less
