review 1: This was a really good 2nd book in the series. A quick read for me-looking forward to book #3"NOT SUCH A LONG TIME AGO, IN A MIDDLE SCHOOL NOT SO FAR, FAR AWAY...Something amazing happened. A weird kid named Dwight made an origami finger puppet of Yoda. (That wasn't the amazing thing--just typical Dwight weirdness.) the amazing thing was that Origami Yoda gave great advice. He could predict the date of a pop quiz, tell a guy if a girl likes him or not, and keep kids from embarrassing themselves in a dozen different ways. Most of the sixth graders were convinced he was using the Force. But now, a year later, it's a dark time at McQuarrie Middle School. Dwight has been suspended and may be expelled, which means no more Origami Yoda. Even worse, Darth Paper, a puppet create... mored by Dwight's nemesis, Harvey, has taken Yoda's place. He spews insults and evil and just may be responsible for getting Dwight kicked out in the first place. Now the kids of McQuarrie are trying to build a case to save Dwight. This is their case file."
review 2: This is an HILARIOUS and AMAZING story of origami and star wars! The setting that Tom Angleberger creates in Darth Paper Strikes Back, is one of origami, funniness, Darth Vader, and... Yoda! Tommy, Kellen, and Dwight are all friends! Dwight is a little weird though. He has an origami Yoda that can supposedly use the force to give you Jedi Wise Knowledge! Tommy, and Kellen believe that this year will be a good year (7th Grade) although everything turns around for them when their frenemy walks in... Harvey. Not only is it Harvey, but it's Harvey and his brand new folded Darth Paper. When you think things can't get worse, your wrong! Dwight could get expelled for saying a "scary" thing to a popular girl! Now Tommy and Kellen have to save Dwight/Origami Yoda before Harvey/Vader take over the school! I recommend this book for people who like comedies! I love this book! less

All of the books in the Origami series are really good. But they just keep getting better, and better, so it's like impossible for me to decide which one is the best. I love how frustrating it is in parts and how it gets really intense. And the ending!!! It was so twisted and intense that I swear that it was the last thing I was expecting to happen! I have to say that it is so good, it's humorous and funny, and just so relatable in parts that you just have to love it. If you loved Origami Yoda, you should really read this suspending sequel that May or May not be better than the first book.

Origami Yoda, book two.The kids at McQuarrie Middle school are starting 7th grade and, thanks to Yoda's advice, they are convinced it's going to be a great year. Unfortunately, Dwight's nemesis, Harvey, has his own finger puppet--Darth Paper. Are Harvey and Darth Paper drawing on the power of the Dark Side to get Dwight expelled and destroy his friends' whole year? Read the latest case file to find out!An excellent choice for middle grade readers looking for a good laugh.

Read with Grant. This one is not quite as good as the first one, but it is still fun.
