review 1: I RECIEVED "THE DELTA" BY TONY PARKER FREE FROM GOODREADS 1ST READ. I BEGAN READING THE BOOK THE DAY IT ARRIVED. THIS IS THE TYPE OF BOOK YOU WANT TO TURN EACH PAGE TO FINISH FAST BUT WHEN YOU DO YOU WISH IT HADN'T ENDED YET. SET MAINLY IN THE DELTA OF AFRICA IT WAS AN EXCITING AND INTERESTING PLACE TO READ ABOUT.SONJA THE MAIN PERSON IN BOOK WAS A VERY UNUSUAL BUT PERFECT CHOICE. THINK FORMER ENGLISH ARMY, THEN A WOMAN MERCENARY WHO WAS AN ASSASSIN, GOOD WITH ALL KINDS OF WEAPONS, QUICK TO THINK ON SPOT TO SOLVE A PROBLEM. MIX IN MANY INTERACTIONS WITH ALL TYPES OF PEOPLE INCLUDING SAM A HOLLYWOOD STAR. YOU HAVE MAYHEM, ACTION, MURDER AND YES SOME ROMANCE. GOOD TO THE LAST AND I HAD TO SMILE AT THE LAST FEW LINES
review 2: Sonja Kurtz is a mercenary. S... morehe travels after a failed asassination attempt on Mugabie, to her former home, a safari park in Nimibia,where she hopes to rekindle an old relationship. On the way, on horseback, she rescues "Coyote" Sam Chapman who has been abandoned in a TV reality show gone wrong. Enough said but there is a lot of shoot him ups, blowing up of a dam, hot sex, reconciliation with a reformed alchoholic father and rebellious daughter, political intrigue, greenie influences to culminate in ending up with somebody different to the original candidate! less
