review 1: This book started of a bit rocky. The characters were young, so the dialogue was a bit immature, but once they got older, they started speaking more like adults, and the story became quite a page turner. Simone and Kevin really had a crazy relationship, especially when they weren't physically together. Some of the things that happened to them individually were crazy, and had me thinking WTH is going on. Their lives really came full circle, and they both evolved tremendously. This books ends with a major cliffhanger, so I am definitely reading the sequel to see exactly what the fate is of these two, their family, and their relationship...should be interesting.
review 2: This was a great story. I loved the characters and how Traci introduced them. Although
... more it was 734 pages it went fast because she held my interest the entire time once she pull you end you don't want to let go. Loved Simone's character she was a very courageous women with all of her struggles and I do mean all from an abusive stepfather, a deceitful mother(OMG!!), you are really going to be angry when you read what she does to her own child. Simone strengths came from her father, he loved her and was very supportive and encouraged her to fight back and turn her life around for the good. Kevin, thug, thug! Why do good girl's want to be with thugs. Even though Kevin was a thug with many mistakes I did really enjoy the relationship between Simone and Kevin (that's before Rhonda came along). Kevin just made some stupid mistakes and continued to make them one fatal mistake that landed him in jail and losing out on the real love of his life and being there for his daughter. Just when you think that very thing is going good something happens. Traci great job. less
