An Elizabeth Parker Mystery
review 1: Eight years ago Ann Parker broke off her relationship with Joe Muldoon because her family did not think much of the rookie cop. Joe is back in her life now as a detective in charge of the investigation when a body is found buried under the swimming pool of the family home. Ann’s sister, Elizabeth, is the family detective who will obviously solve the murder with a fair amount of witty dialogue between Elizabeth and other of her relatives who have memorized big chunks of Jane Austen’s books. However, the murder mystery jars against the domestic comedy with victim, police, and suspects all coming from the small pool of Elizabeth’s family and acquaintances.
review 2: This book was a fun little murder mystery that was more about the cast of unique character
... mores than about murder. The characters are described well, with all their flaws and quirks. I like the references to Jane Austin books that are bantered about as well. There is a murder, actually a few of them, and plenty of twists and turns as the main character tries to figure out what happened. I enjoyed it. less

As usual, Tracy Kiely does not disappoint. Enjoyed the third in this series

A nice little mystery, and I continue to enjoy the Jane Austen references.
