review 1: Nice story that kept me interested with its drama and action. However, hands down, it's the steamy sex between all the heroes and their heroine which really makes this story its glowing five stars! No argument, this is an erotic romance that blows most out of the water. It's just an extra that such a sweet story is part of its charm. A very vulnerable heroine, but she more than works to counter-balance her virile and ferociously protective heroes. I love the "alien" touch of mystery and strangeness that a story involvng a species other than human adds to the storyline, especially in sexual rituals. It's fun to uncover a writer's gift of imagination. Definitely will be reading the next book in the series.
review 2: Got to 45% and was done!!I can't really stand ... morethis series.. I've read them because I have read the Clan Beginnings and wanted to read about when the clans found their Maritas but I can't take anymore of the plot about earths religious crap... It's just too unbelievable for me that no one really questions this.. All the women think god would punish them for having sex and the the aliens are so bad but treat them like gold.. And not one women can come to the realization that this is bullshit until some major shit happens because there so stupid .. I've read this one ..book 3 and 5.. Book 3 was the only one thAt made sense since they did capture nuns.. Her m/m are much better reads!!! I will continue to read the Clan Beginnings but this particular part of the series IM DONE!!! I can't take it less
