review 1: A really great novelty book which kinda involves a bit of everything. From magic to history to living in the country to relationships to chocolate to friendships to books to horses even angels and Christianity like I said everything. This is such a great addictive book. I found I could put it down however I was easily pleased to pick it back up again. So glad I read it. Only negative was it was a bit long winded with respect to what actually happens. But it's a great book.
review 2: I've been reading a pile of food-related books, and this was unfortunately not up to my expectation from the cover. Frankly, I expected more chocolate, but I'm not sure that's the author's fault. This took me longer to read than I expected just because I wasn't dying to pick it back
... more up, and I didn't have a problem putting it down, either. The style was fine. The characters were OK. I can't really put my finger on what the problem was for me, but I wouldn't re-read this book...not sure I would read another in the series (evidently it is the 2nd in a series?). The plot was very thin and predictable. The hints at the end were obvious, and I think we all knew the mom would either show up or contact her in some way before the end. Rated it "OK" since it wasn't terrible, just unenjoyable. less

Quite a good story but a bit predictable. Loved the Vicar character. Easy reading.
awsome
This was nice enough but I was a bit disappointed. Made me want to eat chocolate!
