Traitor Spy Trilogy

review 1: I'm not usually one for sequel trilogies, and especially not second generation sequels, but this bool handles that nicely. The characters have grown up in plausible ways, the old heroes are still active in their fashions, and the new characters are nice additions to the cast. The plot in this book is pretty low in volume and feels like a build-up, but it is nice to visit the traitors at last. Also, the knowledge of the storestone that the reader had from the prequel is frustrating, since the characters never seem to figure that one out :P
review 2: This book really deserves 3 and a half stars, however i cant give that result (or i`m just stupid). I enjoyed returning to the characters of Trudi Canavan's previous trilogy. Seeing how life has changed for these cha... moreracters as well as the guild itself is quite interesting. I found the character of Lorkin to be interesting, but to be honest after the initial possible death and runaway his character became pointless and boring. Due to my enjoyment of Canavan's last trilogy i will continue to read this one but i hope it gets interesting and isn't left to the last book. less
