review 1: I liked that it was a zombie novel without having to be only about the zombies and eluding them. It was about surviving the end of humanity and searching for safety in a primitive world. I'm not sure I understand why the author switched narrators... or that I liked the second better than the first. It may just have been that Sam was a more kind-hearted person and therefore doomed from the start... but I think I would've liked to see him continue. Meredith is OK but I didn't like her as much as Sam. There are more in this series but I don't have them yet.
review 2: I really enjoyed the story and characters in this book. It was fast paced and kept me on the edge of my seat. Just when I would think that a haven had been reached, a character I cared for was pu
... moretting themselves on the line again! You know how you can watch horror movies and yell, " No! Don't do that!" but they do...this was the first time I can recall wanting to do the same thing to a character in a novel! LOL Of course the story would have been much less interesting if they all just hunkered down in a safe place. Thanks for the great reading experience Mr. Brown I have enjoyed the whole series so far and intend to get Snoe and the rest of The Dead series as soon as possible. less
