review 1: I spent most of the book trying to figure out how Darby was going to make it right with his Hong Kong girlfriend, Leslie. Guess I didn't need to spend so much time on that, haha. For some reason I like stories about serial killers, so Mr. Fu was an interesting part of the book for me. I enjoyed the description of the food in the night food market in Hong Kong. Made me wish I was there, although I wouldn't have taken kindly to being charged more than the locals. Don't think this will be a book club read, but was not a waste of time.
review 2: Too much swearing for my taste, but I've been told that book 2 has less swearing. It also has some sex that I don't appreciate. The beginning of the book was hard to push through, but the end of the book was really intr... moreiguing and I was really interested to see how it ended. There were even some issues that I wasn't sure would resolve by the end because I was so uncertain of what was going to happen, and I like not knowing when it comes to books. So I am torn as to what to rate this book. So down the middle I go... less
