review 1: A lot like the others, Darby is getting a little smarter with his dealings, and in this one, the real drama had nothing to do with the gang that he was working with... and the end, i think the epilogue, had an interesting twist... Literally, the last page of the book leaves you with your mouth dropping and your eyes wide open going "holy crap!" again, a fun read, a little saner than the first two, a lot more "chill"... but still pretty good!
review 2: Another Darby Stansfield novel, this time set in Hawaii. Darby has gotten himself out of a mess with a Mexican cartel and decides to spend some down time surfing and enjoying life with his new girlfriend. Trouble, as always, seems to follow Darby wherever he goes. Who's breaking into his house? Why? Was it... more just a simple burglary gone wrong or is someone after him? Though not the next great American novelist, Ty Hutchinson does write in a very entertaining fashion. I've enjoyed following Darby's exploits and will continue to do so in the future. less
