review 1: When you combine two of the most historical and breathtaking cities in the world what do you get? Hmm…”Paris Versus New York” of course. An unusual book it is, mainly because it requires a lot of chuckling, and as it turns out it’s quite the information polestar. Author Vahram Muratyan, a Paris native, created a very visual comparison of the two cities. From monumental buildings, exquisite food habits, notable figures, to saturated clichés about the people who inhabit these two magnificent cities. Although there is a vast ocean that separates Paris and New York; they could almost be twins tied at the hip…fraternal twins that is. One is more posh than the other. Which one?

It is in French, but even if you don't speak the language you will be able to understand what the message is. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in city planning/organization. Even if you are just interested in comparing the two cities through history and layout and culture. It is an interesting book and expecially valuable to those who like learning visually. I loved it. It is a rare book and if you ever come across it, do not hesitate to pick it up! less
