review 1: I think that what i liked about this book was unlike many books with main characters suffering from a mental illness the book isn't about it and instead about Zelah herself. Zelah's character was likable and the story was pleasant especially after going through a lot of heavy books it was nice to find a a nice quick read to recover from a book hangover that didn't have me on an emotional roller coaster.It probably wasn't the most memorable story but it was nice and perfect for post series.nice.
review 2: Zelah Green has Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. She has to wash her hands 31 times, and hop on the stairs everyday and scrub her face until it bleeds. She can't touch anyone or anything that carries germs. Which pretty much means she can't touch anything. Then s... morehe is sent to get treatment, where she meets other kids with problems, and learns to work through her own. But can she overcome the disorder, and get on with a relatively normal live? Zelah Green is a quick read, and interesting. It deals with a number of problems people face, such as self harming and anorexia. I would have liked a little more detail about the other kids' backgrounds, and I felt the ending was a little rushed, but it is definitely worth a read and I think I would read anything else Curtis cared to write. less
