review 1: One of my favorite genres is the long lost love reuniting and that is what Vi Keeland serves up in this second book. While I have tired of the MMA fighter the past few months, I end up loving her tough guys.Vinnie is training for the fight of his career. After a bit of a bumpy road with girls and drugs, he is on the fast track to take it all with help from his trainer Nico. Teaching a few women's self defense classes and taking care of his worthless mom keeps him on the straight and narrow. That and the fact that Nico will rip him a new one if he messes up again.Olivia Michaels is chasing her dream. She wants to be a reporter and as an intern now, she is waiting for the story that will make or break her. With only one other competitor, she thinks shes got it in the b... moreag, until she meets the subject of her story in her self defense class. Vinny broke her heart back in high school and she never really got over it. Now it's the job or the man, Liv doesn't think she can make both work out.It sounds like a typical long lost story, however Vi Keeland amps it up a bit with a story line that will make or break this couple. There are lies all over the place and you can't stop reading to see how it will all play out. While I really liked Vinny, Liv was a little harder to warm up to. I expected more of a situation in high school for the big deal she was making about it.The book is well written and sexy as hell. Great addition to the series.
review 2: Vince is all grown up in the second book by Vi Keeland. Still fighting and training with his good friend, more like family actually Nico hunter but with no real purpose in life. His whole life building towards his upcoming fight and nothing else matters... Until he sees her... Liv! He would remember her anywhere!Liv is settled and fighting for her dream reporting job when she is given the task on the upcoming fighter Vince Stone. She has no idea this was the same boy who stole her heart and left her destroyed 7 years ago.Vince's life hasn't been a easy one with a druggie mom and no real sense of belonging until he met Nico. But now as he reconnects with Liv he hopes for more! But secrets are always lurking and promising to drag vince back down. He has no idea his family will grow along with his love for Liv.Loving this series and looking forward to book 3! Xx less
