review 1: This is another wonderful story in the " MMA Fighter Series" they are listed as a stand-alone novel but the characters in the books cross over. If you love Strong alpha males that are MMA fighters or at least in Jax's case dabbles in the fighting also strong headed women, with a side of love, passion and plenty of Heat! you will enjoy this book. Worth Forgiving had me from page one and kept the interest there.
review 2: OMG, the best part about this story is definitely Jackson Knight (aka Jax)!! OMG, the man was glorious perfection. He was charming, educated, successful in his individually-owned business, had good manners (the ever-conscientious gentleman), but he was also a potent fighter. You get the picture, Jax had heart-palpitating appeal. So, it's no won
... moreder how Lily St. Claire reacted when she first caught sight of him. That was one of my favorite parts....when "boys meets girl," or more accurately when "boy catches sight and can't keep his eyes off of girl, then she notices and falls all over herself"--LOL. From the beginning Jax and Lily hit it off and their moments together were filled with special tension, the kind that made you want to rip-your-clothes-off-tension. Although Jax made no qualms about his pursuit of this beautiful girl he'd fallen for, Lilly is hesitant. Her reasoning was quite sound, as well. Lily is the co-owner of a growing franchise of specialized gyms and Jax got intertwined in the business aspect of her life through his company Knight Investments. Since he became a part of her business-related life, she refused to get involved romantically with Jax after a bad experience with another MMA fighter named Caden. Caden, her ex-boyfriend continues to make her life difficult since he still works for her and is stalker-like and super controlling. Yet, some things are simply inevitable, as with Jax and Lily. These two are inseparable and their easy-going banter and friendliness turns into something more delicious, steamy and serious. I loved Jax and Lily together, they were cute, fun, romantic and hot! But, this story began to lose stars at the conflict part, and that's when the "stupid" came out of the heroine. I HATED how she dealt with the conflict within the relationship, as instigated by a person she should have known better than to trust. Anyhow, during that "stupid phase," I forwarded most of that part until we got to the good part; the reconciliation. Aside from Lily's stupid phase, this book was really good, and it was all because Jax was irresistible! The epilogue helped me forgive Lily a little bit. Oh, and I loved the part where Jax and his brother form a lasting, unbreakable bond. I suppose that was the only good that came out of the conflict in the book. Overall a good read/listen. The narrator performed well. less

LOVED JAX SHAME THE HEROINE WAS IRRITATINGI have really liked every book in this series, I even liked Jax the hero in this one a whole lot. What I didn't like was Lily the heroine she was weak, indecisive and just all round irritating. There are numerous times in this story she knows what she should do and say, but when it comes to it she never does. Especially with regard to her bullying and stalkerish ex boyfriend Caydon.Jax was a gorgeous dirty talking hunk, I don't think I would have continued reading but for his character. Even so I did find this story was a little bit on the slow side to get off of the ground. I was hoping this series was going to go out on a high note, the fact that for me it hasn't is a shame.
