review 1: When I first read this book a few years ago, and have re-read, it being in my possession, I was a bit sceptical. I picked it up at a school book fair because the cover looked interesting and I was in need of reading material, but as soon as I started reading, I found myself wanting to be in Zaria's world. It's a fresh take on the fairy world, and the whole wand/radia concept I found really interesting. What was the only problem was that I didn't know there was a sequel at the time. I felt like if there was a sequel about Zaria's parents, it couldn't really top Violet Wings and I never really felt much motivation to find Indigo Magic.
review 2: I liked it well enough. There were times where I wanted to stop reading it, mostly because I always have a hard time get
... moreting into books that are written in the first person. However, once I did get into it and made my way through the slow parts, I enjoyed it very much and had a hard time putting it down (I finished reading it in less than two days).I eagerly await the sequel and I don't say that about just any book considering I have an aversion to sequels in general. Yay, Victoria Hanley! ^_^ less
