review 1: Sequels are often a let down - after months of eager anticipation - but not so in this case. Victoria Twead continues to enchant us with both familiar and new characters both human and animal. Victoria weaves her characters into the rich tapestry of life in 'El Hoyo'. From traditional celebrations to kleptomaniac kittens, an opportunistic mayor to a demonic dog all come together in a grand 'olé!'
review 2: I enjoyed this book, its more like a 3.75 stars... (!) but perhaps not as much as the original 'Chickens'. Don't get me wrong as its still totally worthwhile as a book in itself and the life of Veeeeky/Beaky and Joe is, as ever, full of Spanish insights and delights, cringing at times, laughing at others.... I think I was a little spoilt with Chickens though... more which had me rolling around at times.... Roll on Two Old Fools and a Camel!!! less
