review 1: Good news= it wasn't the worst book I readBad news= it wasn't the best eitherOkay review time now.Characters:Emily- Just think goody two shoes older sisterGrace- the younger sister who is just described as average the whole bookMom-she is all weepy and I guess she is one of those rich and ditzy people that shop and have tiny chihuahuas living in their purses and pooping on their credit cardsDad- his daughter is stuck in a video game and where is he? On a business trip. Can it be more obvious that he doesn't give a darn? Two rasmussem employees explain about the situation and stuff. thats their only purpose.in the game there are just a whole hoard of annoying characters like the gypsy king and the stupid sprites and the gondola man and emily herself. The setting-some dystopi... morean city with advanced technologyin the game- some stupid land of golden unicorns or something where I can just place every last fluffy pink stupid girly thing ever. (barbie, hello kitty, unicorns, my little pony, pink dragons, strawberry shortcake, and dora all belong here) and there are fairies and other girly things everywhere. *UGH*THE PLOT:Grace's sister is stupid and locks herself in the game. Their mom panics and goes all oh no my daughter is commiting suicide *faints on couch and has to be revived*. Their dad does not even care and he is on some business trip or something. So grace has to play hero and go into the game and act all brave. So she enters the fluffy pink land of floating pink castles only to find out emily cheated amd got unlimited money from thr stupid pixies and is almost unbeatable. So dimwitted grace tries to find out why emily locked herself in the game. Will it be a) her boyfriend b) her stupid family or c) some stupid reason that no one cares about? Okay. I am sorry but this book is just plain dumb. It is a waste of time.
review 2: I loved Heir Apparent, so I guess I was expecting something a bit... extraordinary? At least not the flat story I got. The MC was cute enough, but the story line was predictable, and really only focused on two characters the entire book- which became REALLY boring sometimes. I guess I kept waiting for the action to pick up, for it to get better, for the characters to flesh out a bit, but it never happened. It wasn't terrible, but like some of the other reviewers have said, just as the game was designed for ten-year-old girls, the setting geared the entire book to younger girls. I just couldn't get into it. I ended up skimming and finished it pretty fast- wasn't good, wasn't bad, just... Meh. I felt like I wasted my time reading it, but that might just be because I have a pretty awesome non-fiction waiting for me.I just need a sequel to Heir Apparent... less

Good Young Adult book. Just the right amount of action and humor, and thankfully, not a series!
Bree
Interesting but not all-absorbing. Bit of a let-down after Heir Apparent, to be honest.
Tory
As always, a brilliant story with engaging characters and interesting story.

Didn't have the same charm as the other two books set in the same reality.
