review 1: It's been a few years since I read Planetary and haven't read it all since it finished. I was trying to collect the out of print Absolutes, so I was excited when DC announced this collection. Not only is all 27 issues in the book, but all 3 crossover issues (one of which is the Batman crossover which is one of the best things ever). The writing and art is some of the best the medium have ever seen. And this is a must read for any comic book reader.
review 2: Great Science Fiction comic series. I liked how each issue was it's own stand alone tale that tied into the bigger picture. This is one series I can see myself reading many times over; the story sucks you right in and keeps you wanting to read more. Ellis' provides an introspection into the super hero genre
... more. Cassady's art is amazing and definitely his best work. This story was a perfect showcase for his artistic abilities. Planetary has been referred to as the 21st century's first graphic novel and I think it is a good representation of the medium to come. less
