review 1: Ok Mr Hill, in my humble opinion what you really need to do now is to write a sequel, longer this time. I can see that in the author's brain this wonderful plot was making an impact, but for us mortal readers we need more, more details, more pages to explain this world and why the tentacles are in extinction, what's going to happen with the baby and the MC?Great potential, it just need more.
review 2: This story is set in a futuristic setting. Humans had to leave Earth a few generations ago and found a habitable planet to live on. They soon came to find out they were the 'invaders', the 'aliens'. The Calari are like giant squids who are able to communicate telepathically. They allowed the humans to stay and live on the planet as long as they would allow them
... moreto take a human as a mate once in a while. The humans saw this as a great privilege to be chosen. Davin, a human, does not want to be chosen. He thinks it is disgusting and fears he will be taken as a mate. The day comes that he is taken from his family to live with his mate, Sea. He is not very happy. He does not think it is a privilege. All he wants is to go back home. Then when he learns more about Sea and his people, he starts to view Sea differently.The story was wrapped up with a nice ending. less
