review 1: I am a second grade teacher and I read this to my class today as an introduction to a writing about disguising a turkey. My students were engaged the entire story and chorally participated when the text repeated. We giggled and giggled! My students also used this text to practice inferring. I definitely recommend this story as a read aloud in an elementary school or at home! Great illustrations too!
review 2: Turkey Trouble is a fun book to read to your students around Thanksgiving! It made me laugh out loud! Throughout the whole book Turkey is disguising himself as other animals, so that the Farmer won’t capture him and kill him for Thanksgiving dinner. It is fun, silly, and just the right book to read to young children! The author does a great job showing T... moreurkey’s distress and worry, but still makes the story funny to read. I will definitely use this book in my classroom! The book ends in a cute way, too! I highly recommend this book! less
