review 1: This was another recommendation of my 11 year old reluctant reader. She devoured this book and proclaimed it was the best book she's ever read. I enjoyed it as well. what could be better than a secret box with a secret electronic code to unlock it? There is a lot of adventure with some villains and a little bit of magic. I love how it all turned out and the ending leaves questions unanswered. Had to preorder the next book and we anxiously await its release! review 2: A fast read, good for girls and boys, grades third through fifth. Three characters, Jax, and her two male cousins. Jax, get a birthday gift from a never known aunt. Jax talks her cousins into going to DC on a quest to open her gift/box. References to Greek mythology, Pandora. Adventure, kids breaki... moreng into hotels, adults want the box, archeological digs, thieves, kidnapping. The book comes to a conclusion, but can easily segue into a sequel or two! Kids will love. less
