review 1: I actually had this book in my TBR for years. When the sequel came out that made me read this.I didn't like it (obvious by my rating).I like G4Y (despite some drama surrounding by the trope recently). I've read some great ones and I was excited because Okati has had some good titles released under Torquere Press. Loose Id (in my opinion) not so much. However, I wanted to read this because it was G4Y. I was disappointed. The main characters Zane and Eli were so bland half the time they blended into each other that they came across as the same person.The drama surrounding their sudden realisation that they love each other was also disappointing. Little to no drama when only one man is slightly awkward about PDA. I found myself more interested in Richie and Taye's relationshi... morep and was super disappointed when the sequel was more on the boring Eli and Zane.
review 2: I liked it. I kept picturing Eric Dane and Patrick Dempsey so it was Scotch Bonnet Pepper hot. I loved that they didn't just dive into buttsex, I think that takes some thought so i really appreciated all the sexual exploration that happens. I did not like the sanitizer scene, that just made my think of all the reasons it would be needed. Not good for sexy times. They are a few editing mistakes which only annoyed me because the editor's name appears on the cover page. The hospital's name switches from Immaculate Grace to Immaculate Heart and back. Someone didn't know their ass from their elbow twice on one page. I did like the dynamic between these guys, I like the uncertainty which might be accurate in these situations. I liked that they talk about their issues, i can always tell if a couple works well together by how well they communicate.I was furious at some of the decisions made by the main characters especially Eli. It put me in the mind of what a romantic primary school girl might think love is supposed to be. I'll stop the world and melt with you. I'm a romantic but I think personal growth and happiness takes precedence over everything. The epilogue was ridiculous. People have sex? Whaa? And could someone please tell me what are BJ lips? less
