review 1: Psych Review - Christine Shaker 1. What did you like about the book and what could have been better? I loved mostly everything about the book. It reads just like how you watch it on T.V. The reading was fearly simple although it involved a lot of thinking while reading too since the book is all about mystery. Of which i LOVE! I liked how the book had twists and turns throughout it. I love it how Shawn(Main character) has a character that no one quite has in books. Hes mean yet sweet and very funny. Especially when he gets ready to "pshycicly" tell everyone how he finds clues in order to solve the cases he gets on.2. What was the style of the book?The book was a very simple read. The dialogue was quite simple and easy to understand. There was definitly a LOT of dialogue thr... moreoughout the book. The book had snappy and quick lines. There wasnt an incredible amount of diction used because i think the author was more trying to get the point out to the reader than to really confuse them as they had a lot of twists within the book, which would probably confuse the reader more.3. What was the moral of the book?The moral of the book is quite complex actually. This is because shawns life revolves around the experiences he had as a child with his father. His father taught him good morals and taught him how to be a smart kid. So when Shawn lives his life and solves cases he uses the things he is taught from his father and uses it in his everyday work and life. The moral i think is that your parents influence how you function in life later on.
review 2: I wasn't expecting a whole lot going in, but this was actually a fun book. The author got the characters and the tone of the show spot on, probably because he actually was a writer for the show. It was still really funny, but there's just nothing like seeing it. Seeing Roday and Dule do their funny faces and sounds and all the things that make them wonderful actors is still better than reading about it and trying to imagine. But otherwise, a great read for any Psych-o. less
