review 1: 4.5 stars. (Note: this is a review for the whole series)The story itself is very similar to one of the author's previous works, Doubt. Because of that, I can't help but compare them. Overall, I personally preferred Doubt. However, Judge out-shined Doubt in certain aspects including overall story because it simply seemed to come together much more than Doubt's story. Also, I felt that the overall theme of judging seemed to give this story a bit more of a purpose. My only real problems for Judge were the characters and how they were portrayed. Particularly with the use of sins because each mask's sin was never explained the characters were never really associated with any past crime with which to be judge. Another thing that bothered me was one of the few characters that we h... moread any background (if I understood properly) could only have been guilty of being gay. Whether or not it was intentionally, sloppy, or my lack of understanding I feel like that lack of background made the characters seem less real. Because of this, the suspense never really hits home like it did in Doubt.
review 2: Absolutely incredible !This book mixes all the good ingredients that make a thriller unforgettable. Mistrust, fear, guilt and a fight against time and against an unknown enemy.Everybody is guilty. Everybody should die. And in order to survive, you have to decide who to kill. The only way out is to find who is behind all this. But how can you investigate when the person beside you's only wish is to kill you ?The plot is captivating. The characters are well-developed. The atmosphere is really dark. And the suspense is killing you ! less
