review 1: Doubt is an interesting horror manga. It revolves around a mobile phone game where users are locally assigned either the role of rabbit or the wolf. The goal of the rabbit(s) is to successfully locate the identity of the wolf, whereas the goal of the wolf is to sew seeds of dissent and confusion among the rabbits. A wolf within a group of friends takes this premise too far, and our group awakes in an abandoned building of some kind with one of their friends dead and crucified to a wall. The stage is set to find the wolf. In an added dimension of weirdness the rabbits have bar-codes tattooed on their bodies that open one room within the complex. There is a lot of tension and drama between the rabbits trying to rationally open these doors, exploring more of the abandoned faci... morelity, while a man in a giant rabbit head silently watches via CCTV. A lot of the scares from this psychological thriller come from the rabbits slowly doubting each other's trust. The ending is a complete bait and switch but I won't give it away here. It sets up the next volume well though. The art isn't as catching to my eye as most horror themed mangas I've read (Gyo, Parasite, Panorama of Hell), but the story has a solid hook to it. I almost think this would make for a better movie than a comic at time. I'm interested to see what other twists this series is going to have though. 3 out of 5.
review 2: I really liked this manga. It was well paced and straight to the action. The is a great read for anyone who like psychological thrillers. However, I couldn't help but feel numb at the end of the series. The reason for everything that happened and why the wolf did what it did was just kind of dumb and left a bad taste in my mouth. Over all the tough, it was still a good read and still recommend it. less

had so much potential, and it fell flat. Ah well. Stopped after the first book.
