review 1: The beginning was quite disheartening...Rory's stalker tendencies threw me off..but after his meeting with Yamane I started to really enjoy this book. I fell in love with Rory..he was such a charmer and such a gentleman..and I liked Yamane, with his exotic looks and vulnerability.. Sadly, in the second half the book just fizzled out. Insta-love, little chemistry, pointless running from a crazy woman, sloppy police work, Yamane's hysterics.. And I was left with questions in the end?1. What was Rory's real name?2. Did Yamane sleep with that pharmacy guy? 3. Why on Earth so many people thought Yamane was a girl? Is Ran a girl name?Overall, a let-down.
review 2: Loved the beginning, and I quite like some of the romantic development, but in the end I couldn't get pa... morest two things. One) the Amelia plot, which does not feel believable at all, and not in a good/fun/whatever way. Two) the long hair and constant referring to Yamane as a woman.DNF at 50%The book is on my kindle for another day, maybe, but right now I want to concentrate on other books . . . less
