review 1: For reading a book of this genre for the first time, I thought it was a very enjoyable read. Anyone could take the characters of the book, and replace them with either people that they knew from their past, relatives, or people they've seen, and place them in their own hometowns, as they're reading the story. I know there's an area where I grew up that fit in perfectly with the area that the Author wrote about. The more that you got into the story, the more you hated to put the book down, because you wanted to find out what happened with some of the characters. You'll laugh, you'll shed a tear, you'll cheer, and you'll also contemplate a little about life after finishing the book. This Author has quite the imagination, and I'm waiting to see what else he has in sto... morere!!!
review 2: This book has an extremely original plot. It captivated me from the start and I couldn't put it down! It is hard to describe the genre of this book because I think it had a little bit of everything. It also had a lot of ghosts, crime, violence, action, and twists. I would definitely recommend this book. I think I would have given it five stars, except that I didn't feel that the story accurately portrayed how Wilkin stopped smoking crack. Any long time crack user would have had severe withdrawal symptoms, both physical and mental. He didn't seem to have any symptoms and it was never mentioned why. I received a copy of this book for my honest review. less
