review 1: Spider-man has team-ups! This book isn't meant to be too self-reflective. It's just a look at stories that could take place between the multitude of other stories that feature Spider-man. It's not trying to be a serious book and that helps with the enjoyment level.Some of the characters aren't quite themselves (Cap and Hawkeye, even Rulk), but close enough to themselves that they are recognizable.Not worth seeking out but enjoyable if you happen to come across a copy.
review 2: Good: Spidey telling jokesBad: Spidey being butt of all jokesThere's some good stuff in this book, including Spidey's team up with Cap (which is actually more of a bonding session, less team-up, and a lot of hero worship).Spidey and Red Hulk is fun just to see the ridiculousness of the ... morepairing, but takes 3 of the issues and is far too slow for what it is.Spidey and Hawkeye is just yawn fest, Hawkeye's portrayed as a grade-A douchebag, which makes it uninteresting.Pretty much this is a kids Spidey, a way to get more characters shown, and there's some fun art, and decent little jokes, but nothing that really sticks with you.It comes across like Spidey is the big loser on the team(s) and no one really wants to hang out with him. less
