review 1: Free down load. Well this was another great book by a great author, I loved the characters. Maggie is great and I enjoyed the characters interaction from the previous book. Maggie and Jack have a lovely relationship, very big brother. When she starts a new job thanks to Jack Lord she can't believe her luck, add in her boss is gorgeous and just happens to be somebody she knew in high school. Vincent is hard working and up until now wasn't looking for love, but when he sees Maggie again it's like fate wanted it. With complications causing problems in their new relationship will they have what they should always have had. The story was great, the angst was present, great characters who all work well together, the writing is great, I laughed out loud, and the sex is smoking h... moreot, very descriptive but not in a crude way. Overall loved it and would recommend this series and author.
review 2: Another snappy read from this author. I love the pace of the books so far. This one's about Maggie, who is Belmont (Jack) and Charlie's cousin, who is more like a sister. This starts off at Belmont and Daisy's wedding (which is over the top and so in keeping with his character). Charlie still thinks he's in love with Daisy and Maggie is just unhappy, especially with her job, which is keeping her from enjoying the multi-day long wedding reception. Since Jack's goal in life is to make the people he loves happy, he instead gets Maggie a new dream job, working for Vince and Robert at their multibillion dollar media company--guys she knew for 4 months back in high school.Maggie had a crush on Robert back in school, but Vince kept him away from her. She was also depressed and dealing with the break up with her parents. We learn pretty quickly that Vince actually had a crush on her in HS and is still attracted to her as an adult. But then we learn some pretty awful things about him, and Robert turns out to be a sleazeball. So I'm not getting the attraction here at all.I loved that Maggie was smart in business; I hated that she was bad at the relationship with Vince. You know he's evading your questions, but you're willing to forget all of that? I couldn't quite get what made this relationship work except for what Vince remembered from High School and his intense feelings for her now.The ending was not fulfilling for me in the least, but there are other books in the series, so perhaps it continues. less
