review 1: I had high hopes for this book, but it didn’t measure up. It all moved too fast. It seemed unbelievable, considering how much had been fit into the story by the end. At one point, the female lead character, Daisy, stated that she had never seen, the male lead character, Belmont, so angry, like she was shocked. Even though it was towards the end of the book, she had known him a whole six days, not long enough where she would have known from experience that it was outside of his normal behavior or not. I think the steamy scenes had potential to be great, but the author came up with ridiculous nicknames like sugar caves, nether regions, schlong, pole, liquid fertilizer, etc. All completely killed the moment. I thought the situation with Daisy's ex boyfriend and ex best frie... morend was really entertaining to read, but it just dwindled down and didn’t really have a closing. I wanted to know what they so desperately wanted to say to her. Belmont had the alpha, possessive trait, which I’m always intrigued with. He has an odd name, though. I liked Daisy well enough, but being a complete idiot and not making sure he had protection on during their first sexual encounter, lost her some points. A 3 is probably generous, but overall, there were enough enjoyable parts to finish the book.
review 2: The idea for the book was pretty good. The development of the plot was sorely lacking. The sex scenes were horrible. The verbage used to describe his penis and his sperm were very jr high boyish. In fact, the "hero" of the book is supposed to be 35, but he reads as a teenager. The book did not flow well and I was definitely not sad when it was over. While I do think the book had some interesting points, I would definitely not recommend this to a friend. less
