review 1: The characters were really solid, and I loved how well they related to each other, but the source of this novel's central conflict was such BS that I kept getting angry. So Karen wanted to be a librarian, and had to leave her little town to do it? Oh, really? I went to library school a decade ago (in Canada, btw) and there were online programs then. There are even more now. Wanting to live on her own in a different town would have been one thing, but at no point was it ever acknowledged that Karen could have done most or all of her masters program online. And that's just lazy writing or poor research. I may read the next books in this series if I can find them on Scribd or Oyster.
review 2: 3 1/2*stars really (stand alone series). PAUL & KAREN HAD SO MUCH SEXUA... moreL TENSION AND ANGST, I JUST SCREAMED "PLEASE JUST-DO-IT-ALREADY"! GEEEZ! THEY HAD SO MANY SEXUAL FANTASIES ABOUT EACH OTHER I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY FUNCTIONED. THIS WAS A CUTE STORY LINE IT WAS FUNNY AND VERY SEXY A REAL FEEL GOOD ROMANCE. I LIKED THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PAUL AND HIS EX-WIFE, ESPECIALLY CONCERNING THEIR CHILD. I WISH MORE PEOPLE WOULD BEHAVE THAT WAY HERE IN THE REAL WORLD. ;D less
