review 1: This was just as good as the first one. I loved Dani from the first book and knew there was a history with Jake, that nobody was talking about until now. Jake has always had a crush on Dani but due to the fact that his best friend is her older brother, he let his feelings for her go the side. By now, she is no longer the teenager she once was and now Jake is noticing her. Finally after all this time, they decide to give it a try and keep it a secret. They both don't want her brothers finding out. After about a month, one of her brothers finds out. They finally decide its time to let the cat out of the bag and tell everyone. Everyone takes it better than expected. This book has some hilarious moments and some that you want to smack the crap out of them for. I'm so glad I go... moret to read this book and find out more about Dani and Jake!
review 2: Woohoo!This is a fantastic love story of two characters that were introduced in book 1 of the Pine Harbour series, "Love in a Small Town." Jake has been attracted to Dani since she was a high school senior. The problem-he was too old for her. Other problems like her brothers were his best friends who were VERY OVERPROTECTIVE of their only and baby sister, Dani going to College and bringing boyfriends home and Jake was too honorable to tell her. When she starts working as an EMT, Dani is now in her mid twenties and Jake is in his early thirties. Do the sparks ever fly when she reveals to him that she has also been crushing on him! Of course since they FINALLY are together(even though secretly)- Ghosts(or one night stands) of the past come back to haunt them.Steamy sex scenes to curl your toes, laughter and tears, this book has it all. You will root for Dani and Jake from the prologue to the end. Great winter read! less
