review 1: Finished the 4 book Survivalist series - good stuff for those interested in the Prepper / Survivalist / Post-Apocalyptic genre. All in all a worthwhile read. The scenario is a bit overly anti-government with too-polar bad guys and good guys. The characters are mostly pretty well done except for Sarge and his team who are caricatures. The author throws in enough factual survival techniques to make it enjoyable. It kept me reading, and looking forward to more so I recommend the series.
review 2: This is the second book in the series and things get even more complicated. The characters are well defined. The storyline is great and is a very believable concept. I mean how would people act and many people that have not prepared, need to learn to buck and learn to
... moresurvive instead of acting like those that are prepared owe them. Even at that Morgan and his family although prepared do not have an endless supply of food and everything they need. As I said in my previous review of Going Home, it makes you think, what if and are we prepared. I myself wouldn't know where to start, but it would be nice to know someone who did to help you get there. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. less

Amazing series . It's sad that by this time next week I'll be looking for a new series to read

Mediocre apocalypse book. Blue collar, predictable plot, but OK.

3.75 stars - not as good as book 1, but entertaining.
