review 1: READ: 20TH JULY 2014RATING: 4.25 SMEXI CAGE STARS!! I am zooming through this series, like only an addict can. Cage, you smexi lad, you are playing farm hand, due to the coach sending you off to pay for your DUI offence by working your ass off on Eva’s, daddy’s farm. He can't afford to stuff this up, if he does he will say bye bye to his scholarship.Eva has lost the love of her life. Enter Cage. Humma! Humma! Cage knows how to get the ladies. He likes more than one at a time. He's used to giving his noodle a good work out. Now his eyes have settled on Eva. Can she change his man whoring ways? Well, of course, it’s an Abbi G book, the guy always gets the gal in the end. But! Not without some Abbi G drama along the way. Cage York is a changed man, will everybody else l... moreet him forget his past womanizing ways? Can Eva put up with the skanky chickies who push their way into his arms? I did enjoy listening to Cage’s inner monologue when he saw the chick he had previously porked set her sights on him and he knew, he was showing Eva, what his past persona was all about. Eva was a brave girl for accepting that Cage could switch from man whore to monogamy in one summer. I really liked Cage in this installment, I got to learn a little about why he was the way he was. The smexi is PHWOOAAAARRR!! Lets face it. Cage has had a lot of practice in the ways of pleasuring a female. He certainly brought his A game. I see reviewers calling this YA genre, but I think I would pop it into New Adult. The descriptive for the nuddy scenes is pretty darn hot to trot for a YA read, me thinks. Crikey, when I look at this USA cover I get a whole new appreciation for Cage. Yum!Another purely-hot-lad enjoyable read. We know the guy will get the gal, we just want to read how he gets there. I am ready for Preston’s book, Just For Now. I must admit I don’t think a lot of Preston at the moment, but I am sure that will change.
review 2: Cage York is back, this time with his own story to tell! I loved him in Because of Low. He was Low's protector, best friend, family.. he would put his wants and needs on hold to take care of her and make sure she was happy. Granted, he was a manwhore and commitment-phobe, but Low always came first in his life, and that made him great in my book. The bad boy with his best friend as his kryptonite. He was sent to work at a farm by his coach as a punishment for his DUI arrest, and that was where he met Eva. The prologue did a number on my emotions. My heart broke for her. She was mourning and refused to move on, so I gave her a little leeway when she was being judgmental towards Low when they first met. It was clear her snarky attitude was her defense mechanism to fight off her attraction to Cage. She grew up sheltered, her world revolving around Josh who was everything to her - playmate, best friend, boyfriend, fiance. I guess she was used to knowing a person like the back of her hand that it was disconcerting for her to be with people she hardly knew. At least that was my excuse why she could easily assume things about people.I may not be a huge fan of Eva, but Cage more than made up for her undesirable trait. True, he never loved anyone except Low, never really cared about his reputation. But behind the swagger and the devil-may-care attitude was a guy who thought he was the guy girls wanted to have a good time with but not the kind they would introduce to their parents. He thought he wasn't worthy to be loved, yet put down his walls to care for Eva anyway. For someone who wasn't shown any love by his own family, he took care of Low with everything he had. Life, or people for that matter, isn't only plain black or white. Bad boys are not necessarily all bad, and good girls are capable of making mistakes too. This was the case of Cage and Eva. People in her life felt a good girl like her didn't deserve a bad boy like Cage. But he was so much more than his bad reputation. He didn't fit in the perfect package, but he was worthy to be loved. Most of all, you'd be lucky to have his love. This was another sweet read from the Sea Breeze series. less
