review 1: M&B Modern has some outstanding writers: India Grey, Sarah Morgan to name a few. With this book Abby Green has proven she's right up there with the best.The old revenge trope is nothing new, but Green has managed to turn it into an uniquely fresh story, which is no small achievement in the category romance genre. I especially like that the heroine was equally successful as the hero, whilst the hero still managed to be alpha.All in all, an entertaining read! Will definitely read more work from Green.
review 2: Another cracker from Ms Green which takes a lot of risks with its plot and characters and pulls it off... This has a great twist in the usual HP revenge plot with the heroine not only kidnapping the hero for a change but also being as rich and successful a... mores he is. Despite pushing the boundaries, Green manages to ensure her hero, the remote and taciturn Luc, is still beautifully alpha and sexy while he is being held against his will on a remote Greek island and that her heroine, abuse survivor Jesse, still has the vulnerability to remain sympathetic even though she's doing a bad, bad thing.... Before long provocation turns to a scalding passion with the two of them desperately trying to pursue their own agendas while falling in love. The result? A high stakes romantic fantasy with all the emotional intensity we have come to expect from Ms Green! less
