review 1: This first instalment in The Arrangement is emotionally charged. I ran the gamut while reading it. I was shocked, happy, nervous, saddened. There’s also a bit of a sinister feel to the story as well. Weeks’ foreshadowing draws you forward through this short story and right into the next. You get to know the main character of this novella very well: her past, her present, who she was, who she is, who she will become. You start to see her coming into her own right at the end of the story. You also get introduced to the supporting cast with the insinuation that you’ll find out more in the next book.Overall, this story has me quite intrigued and I’m definitely interested in finding out what comes next. It’s a quick, racy read that is a great read in to the se... moreries.
