review 1: This book started out a little odd, even slow maybe. But it didn't take long for the story to launch right in. When Star was wishing for something more, for an escape, she had no idea what she was wishing for! All it took was one fateful day for her world to change! Life before that day was all about school, working/slaving for her Aunt and Uncle at their gas station, and fending off losers. Remy was a member of the Steel Veins Motorcycle Club and had obviously not had an easy life. Remy was different than most of the members. Remy was just as rough and rugged as the others, but he was also handsome and a mystery.Star's life changed on that fateful day! Star ended up in the middle of the Steel Veins Motorcycle Club's mess whether she wanted to or not. Part of Sta... morer wanted to run for her life, yet another part of her wanted to stay. Is it sick that she wanted to stay to figure out Remy? Star finds herself in a very precarious position with Remy. Is it wrong that Star wants Remy? Star figures that maybe she has Stockholm's Syndrome! That's it!Everything gets crazy real quick. Members of their brother Motorcycle Club show up to pay respects to one of their fallen brothers and there is a massive show of power. Star finds herself fighting to protect herself from some of the members that want to see her gone. Star holds Remy's attention in ways that he doesn't understand and now he has to choose. Remy has to choose between his brothers and Star. There was a lot of fast action, fighting, blood and guts, and some steamy sex! This book will take you on a fast, dark, and dirty ride. Hang on, if you can!Remember, this has a cliff-hanger ending! I am definitely ready for the next book!
review 2: **I kindly received this book as an ARC and was asked for an honest review in return.**This was my first MC/dark read book. It was suspenseful, nerve-wracking, exciting, and SEXY!! I truly loved it and cannot wait to dive into book 2, Too Wild to Ride. Star's world was turned upside down the day the Steel Veins rolled into her Aunt and Uncle's gas station. Never in her wildest dreams did she expect what was about to happen next! Perhaps everything DOES happen for a reason...good or bad. From the moment she set eyes on Remy, she knew everything she had come to expect in her daily life was about to change. Forever. less
