review 1: I liked the art, and the girl/kid story. The guy/new guy story was pretty drab to read, though that's what offered the most context, unfortunately. The premise was a little hard to latch onto (it throws the reader into the middle of the world, which almost entirely takes place in some kind of cellar or under-tunnel, and gives very little context of what kind of world that is and why), but I managed eventually. The tale had a beginning, middle, and end, but things started so slowly and ended so fast, it's hard to say it's not all just one middle. But after letting it sink in, I can't say I didn't like it, even though I was saying that for half the book.
review 2: If you're searching for something with a happy ending or closure, look elsewhere. This is a dark
... more, gritty, raw story about a near future dystopia where a plague is indiscriminately killing off the citizens and although an antitoxin exists, no one has the will to seek it out. It features a horrifying ring of murderers and never answers the question as to why they do it or why they target those they do. And it shows the despair of those who have lost, and in some cases are so close to finding, those they love. less

A jolt of Rapp with images to carry you further into a harrowing story.

This was very well drawn. Stunning images. Disturbing, a bit.

Fucked-up, terrifying, heartbreaking. What else can I say?
