review 1: A very good book and for sure a interesting and luring start to a series. It is a very interesting twist to read about people that are not human but insect yet show all the traits of humans. The different kinden are a great twist to this story and characters like Tisamon, Che, Salma and many more are well written and make this story such a must read. I recommend this to anyone who likes fantasy, races that are human like but not quite, war, fighting and action that leaves you on the edge of your seat. I am glad this was gifted to me and I started reading it right away.

The book accelerated to a ... moreinteresting twist at the end that made perfect sense and wasn't out of left field. Highly recommended.Sadly, in my opinion the second book in the series did not fulfill the promise of the first. However, I would still recommend the first one, which stands alone rather well. less
