review 1: This is the second book in the trilogy. Grandma has married and moved to Italy and left the shoe company in the ownership of Valentine and her brother Alfred, who she doesn't get along with. Valentine also falls in love and has to make a lot of decisions as she moves ahead with her life. She has to make decisions both about her personal life and the future of the company. i enjoyed this book even more than the first one. Can't wait to read book three to see how the series ends.
review 2: Book #2. I so enjoyed reading "Very Valentine" that I had to order Brava Valentine to see what was going to happen to Valentine and the shoe business.Story line, off to Italy the large American Italian Family go for Grans wedding. Selfishly Grans miserable sister spoils ... morethe wedding day as she is jealous of Gran.Valentine falls for her mothers new step brother hard and visa-verso. However, it is very debatable if a trans-Atlantic romance will survive.Clearing out Grans stuff at the apartment, Valentine discovers there is another part of their family in South America, who are also in the shoe business. Valentine fly's out to mend fences. She rejoices in finding a new branch of the family, and a new partnership. Several marriage problems in this book, family squabbles. New partners, but best of all is Gabriel, Valentines best friend, who not only takes over the redecorating of her apartment, and once again a room mate (they were room mates in college) he also becomes an apprentice to June the shoe cutter. The book is happy, and sad, and full of life of a not so perfect family.Very enjoyable book. less
