review 1: This book started out very promising. The story-line is fresh and the prose is nicely done. The dialogue was a little lacking. The book was SUPER looooong—too long. It would have been better to cut several parts. The star killer for the review, however, was the climax. Light Spoiler: Haven was supposed to do something incredible and be awesome and what not, and the whole “fight” scene was just meh. I was expecting blinding light or super angel powers or SOMETHING….but all she did was slash pictures and run….I’m not sure I will read the other books of the series—I am intrigued by the story and want to know more, but it won’t kill me if I never find out!
review 2: I liked the plot, but there were a lot of things I didn't like about the book, sadly
... more...*Spoiler alert*I totally saw the Lucian thing coming. I knew he was evil from the start. I wasn't really expecting him to become a better person in the end, but he never did anything evil enough to make him a complete bad guy. So I kinda of saw that coming too... Lance came out of the blue at the end too, I would not have let someone kiss me like that. Although, I wouldn't have done a lot of things that Haven did. Overall I enjoyed the book, but I probably wouldn't recommend it. less

Gets 4 stars for the ending, well written though slow going the first 3/4!
