review 1: A slight difference in this book (I read this after #2) in that Henry actually gets to narrate for a bit. I liked the insight and "behind the scenes" glance, though I wish was a bit more forthcoming. Given what I know about Henry and his past from book 2, I understand him a lot better.A few new characters, though Kate's lack of knowledge is irritating. The novella's entertaining and I like that we get to see a bit of what happened while in Greece.

... moremage of the gods is much different from my own but I do appreciate where she is coming from. I really enjoy watching Henry's character growth and wish that Kate could have some more of her own. She can't stay the oblivious mortal turned goddess forever and considering how much studying she did with Irene while she was at Eden she can't really use her lack of knowledge as an excuse anymore. I'm looking forward to reading the second book because after reading Pawn I have high hopes for Carter's writing. less
