review 1: This is an interesting take on the Macbeth story told in narrative form. It is told through the point of view of the witches and is gripping. I could not put the book down. If you have never read the play, or have a hard time getting through plays read this then go back and try the play. The book bring to the front the witches, makes them real people with conflict, suffering, and choices they must make as well as the consequences of the choices.
review 2: It was a pretty good. Having read the play in highschool, seen the film version by Roman Polanski, and seen a live production of the play I felt it's safe to say I know the plot. Despite knowing the plot the novel was still quite good. It does do good at explaining more of the character's thought processes
... moreand exploring more of the rebellion at the beginning of the play and its role in the characters actions. If you've never read the play or really enjoyed the play I would definitely recommend. less
