review 1: I really enjoyed this book. i felt the author did a great job of keeping my interest and loved the back and forth of padt and present. If though this was fiction I liked the relationship to the Morman church and the Quakers. The book gave good detail as life may have been heading west and having to pack dow for the winter and the fears of the unknown in the mountains especially when people start being murdered
